Why is VIOGERM® Spermidine important?
Spermidine is a biogenic polyamine that is found in almost every cell in the body. Spermidine induces autophagy, a self-cleaning process of the cell.
In experiments, the intake of spermidine has been shown to have positive effects on age-related diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Spermidine can therefore help to extend the lifespan of living organisms.
Thanks to our unique manufacturing process, we can offer long-lasting products enriched in spermidine with VIOGERM®. Our VIOGERM® spermidine products typically deliver a spermidine content of approx. 550 mg per kg and have a shelf life of 12 months.


We offer two customized products for your needs
Grains
Our partially defatted grains have a particle size of 1–4 mm and are an ideal ingredient for muesli, snacks and bars, or as a topping for salads, yogurts and more. They provide natural nutrients and contribute to a pleasant texture.
Flour
Our partially defatted flour with a particle size of < 0.3 mm is particularly suitable for dietary supplements in capsules and tablets or as a healthy ingredient in pasta, baked goods or functional foods.
Flakes
Our flakes consist of full-fat, stabilized wheat germ with a particle size of 0.3–0.4 mm and are ideal for baked goods, muesli and bars. They add a pleasant texture and a nutty flavor to a wide range of recipes.
The germ is a true all-rounder in terms of nutrients, minerals and vitamins.
Our VIOGERM® products are rich in the vitamins of the B group, especially B1, B6 and folic acid.
They also provide vitamin E, minerals and trace elements, especially manganese, selenium, zinc, magnesium and potassium. They are also rich in the unsaturated fatty acids linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.
Wheat germ is also characterised by its high protein and fibre content.
